about

Oh no. Tina just got in the shower before me. And I’m due for one myself. And once she sees that bottle of Doctor Bonner’s soap, she’s never getting out. She loves reading that label. It’s raining cats and dogs outside and…wait. I got an idea. I’m gonna go shower on the roof!

lyrics

This is the last straw, she’s doing it again
She beat me to the bathroom, I’m stinking up the den
It’s drizzling outside, it’s been since half past four
If mah plan works, then I don’t have to suffer through this anymore

I’ll grab my shampoo, I’ll grab my brush
Put on my swimsuit so the others won’t see much
Running up the stairs, running out the door
I’m gonna do something that no one’s done before

Rooftop shower
Out there in the rain
Up on top, wash me go insane
No one to see me from below
No one up in the sky
Cause they don’t have a reason why

Come find me, you’ll see
The water may be cold but it doesn’t bother me
The experience up here is better don’t you know?
Listen to the laments of the people down below

It's raining
It's raining
The birds have flown away
It's raining
It's raining
Back home I want to stay

A maiden in the sky above
Does not like her job because
She has to protect people from the pain
She resents her place in the sky
Gets back at her boss and makes the clouds cry
Drowning the citizens in rain
In rain

It's raining
It's raining
How we wish the clouds would dry
It's raining
It's raining
And if we drown we die

The rain has flooded homes and stores
The water's leaking through cracks of doors
and leaving people standing there alone
Now everyone must ride in boats
The town has become castle moats
And the rest of us must sit around and moan
And moan.

Not me cause I’m taking a
Rooftop shower
Fun and fancy free
I look down and no one looks at me
This is the last place where
Anyone would look
It’s the oldest trick in the book!

Come up here and see
The water may be cold but it doesn’t bother me
Nobody can see us, not even from the 7 train
Soapy water down the gutter makes a perfect makeshift drain

This is amazing, check out the view
Should’ve done this sooner, doing it now, it’s new
The rain is never over, it’s not me to decide
The only way to dry off is when I finally come inside

I’m taking a rooftop shower
Getting warmer by the hour
No waste of water isn’t that nice
My hair smelling like sugary spice
I wish that sun above
Would never shine
And afterwards we’ll head down for cherry wine

Down with clothes-ies
Just our toe-sies
And everything in between
Wet your hair and
Jump right on our
Rooftop shower song
Sing along
